About

I am a wannabe teacher librarian, desperately hoping for early retirements and mid-year postings. I currently teach at Kitchener School, an elementary school in the affluent area of Dunbar. I desperately hope for early retirements and mid-year postings of nice TL positions in good schools that support the school library.

On the home front, my husband and I live and play in the Commercial Drive area, a recent transplant of Point Grey, I know I am contributing to the gentrification of this vibrant and diverse area. I have two daughters, ages 3 and thirteen, who are remarkably similar in their struggles for independence and need for nurturing. I have two aging pets, cat and dog, who are also desperate for attention.

I have degree in Fine Arts from Emily Carr and I am currently interested in textiles and related arts. I make and sell quirky little Kreechers. This helps to preserve my sanity when I am not trying to maintain some semblance of a social life or healthy body. When I am not studying at UBC, playing with my family, or teaching, I take art classes. I have signed up for the Gibsons Fibre Festival in August and a couple Maiwa workshops in the fall. Bliss.
